An Interesting Day

Well, it’s been an interesting day for me. I finally finished the script in a way that I am so in love with. I have been triggered today because I sent it to the development producer and I am hoping he likes it as much as I do as I think it is a million times better than the previous drafts. Feeling a little vulnerable that he could say “No, keep it the way it was” makes me feel a little triggered into disempowerment.

One thing that’s been a great vibe switch for that is saying, “Painted Tiger” out loud whenever I imagine a negative future scenario and then squirt bio-chemicals into my bloodstream just from that imagined scenario. (To find out what the Painted Tiger is, visit previous blog). It’s equally possible that he will adore it, so I’m getting adrenalized for no good reason!

Another thing that has triggered me today is this weather! Oh my goodness, do we have rain and wind and all of that. The weather here is usually sunny or foggy and 65, so I’m not used to big wind gusts and torrential downpours. It’s all very exciting, until my husband is out driving in it. Then, I get that painted tiger again of completely fabricated possible dangerous future scenarios. My body responds with adrenaline, and then I realize he’s fine.

Honestly, my vibe switch for this one is really just laughing at myself with how much I “paint the tiger”. I woke up with no electricity this morning and that triggered with the simple feeling of being inconvenienced. Oh, what we in a prosperous country fret over!

With my Overcoming Negativity Addiction Program I’m working, it’s like ‘ve become a detective of my own vibration, an inner chemist of what is triggering me all throughout the day and a maestro of shifting my vibration and my chemicals. I am loving it and it is a constant journey requiring moment to moment focus. But, the need to concentrate on my moment to moment vibe is really a small price to pay for the overall joy I am feeling and the manifestations coming my way.

figs2On the food front, I have eaten mostly fruit today. I am in love with black mission figs. Eating mostly raw foods with some Japanese food for dinner, I am finding that my vibe switching and ONA program is literally 100 times easier when eating more raw than eating processed or cooked food.

ONA Recommitted Journal – Day Five

Yesterday was a good day with vibe switching and Overcoming Negativity Addiction. I felt pretty relaxed all day long, which was so encouraging seeing as the day before I had to vibe switch out of fear and anxiety several times during the day.

The new vibe switch of being the observer of the fear chemicals instead of trying not to be afraid was somewhat of a revelation for me because I saw how pushing against fear in the body oftentimes makes it way worse for me chemically.

So try it today. If you are someone who feels fear, worry, stress or anxiety as one of your negativity addiction triggers, instead of trying to “not be afraid”, instead settle into watching the fear like you would setting into watching a movie at the movie theater. Observe where you get tense in your muscles, your breathing changes, or if (like me) you can actually feel the chemicals of fear entering into your system.

Yes, it will feel a bit uncomfortable and you may feel the urge to get up and run away, distract yourself with other things, follow your speeding thought trains, etc. But, just decide that today’s vibe switch out of fear, stress, worry, or anxiety is becoming the “watcher”. When we watch fear instead of reacting from fear, we are actually activating an entirely different part of our brain and withdrawing our attention from that fight or flight response which is located in the primitive part of our brains.

I really think that watching my anxiety, fear, and stress, made it go away quickly and then yesterday I had no real big need to vibe switch. My chemicals were pretty much under control, even though I am taking on more and more responsibilities in the physical world with making this movie. It’s like I can handle more than I could before! It’s like I’m bigger than I was before, more capable.

Today I am going to commit to eating 100% raw because that’s when my body feels the most like purring. I’m going to do kundalini yoga and run and I’m going to be all about self care, nurturing, and meditation. When we care for our bodies, negativity addiction can’t take hold as easily in our lives.

I’m going to listen to the call of my heart and vibe switch whenever triggered today!

ONA Recommitted Journal – Day Two

Today was a good day with vibe switching as soon as I noticed I was triggered with negative thoughts. I noticed so much more quickly when my vibration was triggered than I have over the last two weeks.

I am on day two of my recommitting and it is going well. I noticed that before I used to make everything in the world “out there” more important than my vibeswitch when triggered and had very little awareness of what I was feeling throughout the day. This was after thirteen weeks of total BLISS from doing the ONA program!

I am loving that keeping a journal every day is making me more aware and committed to overcoming negativity addiction and taking note of when I need to rewire my neural pathways and switch out of my negative chemicals. It makes me so much more accountable and I am loving the results.

Also, I am starting to get the raw food high back! Yay! I am on day two of 100% raw foods and I am buzzing with that sense of well being that is hard to put into words, but “body buzz” is really the best description and a sense of well being. I may save Japanese foods for the weekends so I can keep this buzz going!

I did have to vibe switch a few times today so I thought I would share what they were and how they went.

First of all, I was sad that the weekly ONA class hasn’t had more participants, especially because I know that for me, the ONA program is what made my biggest dream come true these last couple of months (my film was financed and stars attached, etc.) I felt sad because I want to share what I learned and what is working for me, but I am happy that so many people are buying the ONA program even if they aren’t on the weekly class.

What vibe switched me on this was gentle self talk saying that it’s probably a good thing because my life is getting so hectic preparing to make the movie. I’m working out a lot, working with acting coach, doing a rewrite, and working my OWN ONA program, that it’s probably best to take a little bit off my plate in that way.

Also, I had to vibe switch a couple of times with my husband, because he was just doing what husbands do, sometimes saying insensitive things, etc.,  and I found myself getting hurt a few times and then my vibe switch was holding the compassion note, finding the place in him who is having a difficult time being in touch with “the right thing to say” and giving him a break. Holding the compassion note REALLY works with me when I am triggered with hurt feelings. It’s like my ace in the hole. Then I can move into holding the love note, and gratitude for the person, etc. Compassion bridges the gap between feeling hurt and feeling loved, because we’re all (most of us anyway) doing the best we can.

Another vibe switch I had was about being in the court of public opinion. I put myself out there so much with so many different things and so many people have so many opinions about me and I realized that is probably why many people don’t put themselves out there, because they are afraid of public opinion.

I am learning to vibe switch out of that, knowing you can’t please everybody all of the time, so why not do your best and those who resonate with you will connect and those who don’t you can send love to as well. Anyone who has a negative opinion of others is more than likely caught in their addiction because we’re all Souls, even when we don’t agree with peoples’ personalities, at the end of the day, we’re all Souls and we’re all perfect just as we are.

Overall, I felt so much more even keeled today on this day two of my ONA program recommitment. I love and live for that even-keeled feeling, especially because I have this big movie coming up. I love feeling so happy and so grounded at the same time and not like I’m on a roller coaster. That’s what the ONA Program has given me.  Those two weeks I wasn’t vibe switching were night and day different from how I feel when I’m practicing my ONA. It truly is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Also, if you are in the ONA program, it’s a very cool feeling to do a daily blog to take your accountability up a notch. It’s really so helpful to write down my daily experience so that the Negativity Addiction doesn’t make things all blurry and my vibe all sloppy. Noticing, noticing, noticing. As I always say, at least 70% of recovery is awareness of when we’re triggered and changing vibes quickly.

Oh, one more thing, I really noticed this tendency to want to muscle through a negative vibe with some action, thinking the action is “more important” than my moment to moment vibe. I had to stop myself a few times today and say, “NO. This action isn’t more important than your vibe. Stop what you’re doing, even for a minute, flip your vibe, and then you can get back to what you’re doing.” This awareness is working wonders for my overall vibe as no action is more important than feeling good!

You Are What You Eat Trumps When Overcoming Negativity Addiction

I was just telling Andrew today that when I interviewed David Wolfe (raw food expert) on Feel it Real radio he said something that at the time I did not agree with, but have very recently changed my tune about.

He said, “You are what you eat trumps you are what you think every time.”

I was enthusiastic in my response to him, but inside I thought to myself, “No. Eating doesn’t affect our chemicals as much as thinking does.”

HA.

Was I ever wrong.

Over the last few weeks, I hadn’t been feeling as good as I was when I was eating mostly raw foods. I have been doing Natalia Rose’s detox diet, which is FABULOUS if you are coming from a standard American diet, but for me, I had already been mostly raw and done Juice Fasting, etc. My body is really clean.

So for the past few weeks I haven’t been feeling as good at vibe switching because I’m eating cooked veggies, butter, goat cheese, etc.

Well, yesterday, as an experiment, I ate 100% raw and BOOM. It was like someone raised my vibration instantly to bliss, I was automatically plugged into a JOY-socket, electrified, my usual happy self. And I know, being the inner chemist that I am, the only change was my diet! I had been trying so hard to vibe switch before and it was working but it was so so much more difficult, like pulling teeth to turn the vibe around. Now, I can’t get triggered if I tried.

The only difference? The food.

So now I agree with David Wolfe entirely, when it comes to Overcoming Negativity Addiction. “You are what you eat trumps you are what you think.” Now, this doesn’t mean that the thinking isn’t our main focus with ONA, but we have to lay the groundwork by eating and drinking foods that make vibe switching easier.

With that said, here is my recommendation for anyone out there who feels that food and drink may be affecting your overall vibration.

  1. It’s more important to start to eliminate certain foods than it is to load up on new foods. By that I mean, just give up one thing that you know is affecting you negatively as far as your chemical addiction goes. For some, it could be coffee, for others, too many sweets. For someone whose system is relatively clean, eat more raw foods. You have to go at a pace that works for you and it is all relative. For someone coming off cheeseburgers and pizza, Natalia Rose’s diet is going to work wonders for your chemicals. But for someone who has been 100% raw for ten years, Natalia’s diet may make things worse for you (like it did me). So, find where your next step is and take it gently.
  2. Try to eat as many high vibrating foods as possible in every day. Go ahead and eat what you normally eat, but add a salad with it, or have fruit for breakfast, etc.
  3. If there’s a way to get your fix in a healthier way, try that. Switch to decaf for awhile, then tea, etc. Be gentle with yourself as you transition. If you have to have chocolate like me, try raw chocolate or organic dark chocolate instead of a snickers bar, etc.
  4. Become your own inner chemist, curious about what foods trigger your ONA and what foods make vibe switching easier and write down your conclusions in your journal. All scientists keep a log and you are now an inner chemist!
